The newspapers' headlines from the past year made me more and more worried: the rise of populism in Europe, the political camps that rose from the pandemic, the increasing polarisation in society. These developments made me concerned and I wanted to react to it.

Tegenpool (Counterforce) is an illustrative installation I designed for my graduation project. It is a visual response to Dutch political landscape that is more and more polarised and interspersed by populism. With Tegenpool people are invited to interact with different aspects of polarisation in the Netherlands. By participating, people are asked questions about their political views, through humor and satire.
